They did what men could not.. England women achieve Euro 2022 for the first time in history!

UEFA-Women's-EURO-2022-FBARENA

Football Arena farena.com

The England women's team won the Euro 2022 title, after defeating Germany, the historical champion of the competition.

The England women's team won the European Championship 2022, after defeating its German counterpart, with two goals to one, after extending for two additional periods, in the final match that was held at Wembley Stadium in the English capital, London.

The England team managed to advance with the first goal through Ella Ton in the 62nd minute of the match, but German midfielder Lina Magul managed to impose a tie on the hosts in the 79th minute, ending the original time with a 1-1 draw.

After the tie continued in the first extra half, Chloe Kelly wore the championship dress in the 110th minute, after taking advantage of a corner kick that crowded the German defense, and fired a ball from inside the six-yard area towards the goal, to score the historic winning goal for England.

First win!

The victory of the England women's team at Euro 2022 is historic for several reasons, the first of course is that it is the first title in the history of the "Three Lionesses" in the tournament.

The England women's team was satisfied on two previous occasions by obtaining second place, and that was in the 1984 and 2009 editions, after losing to Sweden the first time, and against Germany the second time.

The English victory, and the fact that it was achieved against Germany in particular, gives additional euphoria, especially since the German women's team is the historical champion of the Euro with eight titles.

It is also the first time that the German women's team has lost the final in the Euro, an achievement of course for the England team.

They did what men could not!

The England women's national team has achieved a historic miracle by all accounts, and the fact that it can be seen as a different achievement for women's football in England, given the superiority of men's football.

The England women's team achieved what the "Three Lions" team failed to achieve at Euro 2020, just one year ago.

The England national team reached Euro 2020, which was held in the summer of 2021, after a one-year delay due to the Corona pandemic.

But the England stars did not manage to beat Italy in the final match, which was held at Wembley Stadium, and fell in the penalty shootout, so that the Azzurri won the title.

At the time, the phrase "It's Coming Home" in reference to the inevitable English title win was widely circulated in the English media.

But coach Gareth Southgate's players failed the audience in the final, unlike what happened from the women's team against Germany, so that the "Lionesses" team won the first title in its history.

Public confidence!

It seems that the fans' confidence in the England women's victory was much greater than the possibility of the men's team winning Euro 2020.

That confidence is reflected in the huge crowd that witnessed the final match of the tournament.

UEFA has officially revealed the number of fans who attended the Euro 2022 final.

The match witnessed a crowd of 87,192 fans, which is a historical record in the Euro final.

That number was not achieved in the Euro 2020 final between Italy and England, as the number of fans in that match reached 67,173 fans, which is less by about 20,000 spectators.

Certainly, the English public's confidence was at its height, given the "Lionesses"' journey in the tournament, and the confidence was ultimately reflected in the team that won the title.

Pogba may miss the World Cup 2022 & one case saves his dream

Pogba is threatened with being absent from the Qatar World Cup 2022 .. and one case saves his dream

Pogba's injury, which he suffered during the pre-season, threatens to leave him for a long period of time.

Juventus fans live in a state of anticipation mixed with anxiety, due to the position of Frenchman Paul Pogba, after his recent injury.

Pogba, and after his return to Juventus in a free transfer deal after the expiration of his contract with Manchester United, represented a dream for the fans of the "old lady", it seems that this dream is close to turning into a terrifying nightmare.

The French international suffered an injury during the pre-season, and Juventus announced that the player had suffered a meniscus injury in his right knee, and that he would be presented to an orthopedic specialist for further evaluation.

Pogba's journey with Juventus in the United States to prepare for the new season ended, and the player had to return to Italy to undergo an examination and evaluate his injury further.

What's new in Pogba's injury?

It was believed that Pogba could get rid of the injury and be available again to participate with Juventus within 20-25 days, but that currently seems unlikely.

The Italian newspaper, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, revealed that the medical advice that Pogba received in the United States highlighted that his recovery time may become longer.

After Pogba's return to Italy, there are now two options for him in order to return fully to the stadiums.

The first option is conservative treatment, which could force Pogba to miss two months before returning to the field in October.

The second option is to undergo surgery to sew the cartilage, a maneuver that guarantees very wide healing margins, but requires a longer recovery time, up to five months.

In the event that Pogba undergoes surgery, this will certainly force him to miss the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in November and December of this year.

With this in mind, Pogba will certainly be inclined to conservative treatment, so as not to lose the opportunity to be with France in the World Cup, when the "roosters" defend the World Cup title.

What matches will Pogba miss?

If Pogba is forced to miss two months, and return in October, that would make him miss nine matches, seven rounds of Serie A, in addition to the first two rounds of the Champions League group stage.

As for the worst-case scenario, which is an absence for five months, this will force Pogba to bid farewell to the dream of the World Cup, to be on the pitches again in 2023.

Haaland: Guardiola is a bit crazy. And happy to achieve my first winning over Bayern Munich

Ten Hag implements his threats.. United star was excluded after violating the laws

fbarena.com

The Dutch coach is convinced that discipline is the key to getting Manchester United back on track

The Dutch coach has already exercised and imposed his authority as the Manchester United manager: after deciding the exclusion of  a player for breaking the rules set by the team manager.

Ten Hag was appointed the manager of Manchester United this summer. He seeks to change the situation in Old Trafford after a miserable season in 2021-22 when the team failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The first stage of his discipline plan is imposing strict rules on the players' diet, to the extent of regulating the way they should eat. It seems that, so far, the players have abided by those rules.

However, according to The Athletic, a player of Manchester United (without revealing his identity) has broken the new rules by being late for two meetings during the Red devils' tour in Asia and Australia.

Consequently, Tin Haag applied his punishment by excluding the player who didn't comply with the instruction from participating in one game of the rounds.

According to the report, Tin Haag was planning to use this player in the game, however, he prioritized the rules by considering being late for meetings as a breach of the discipline rules that he couldn't tolerate to preserve discipline inside the team.

This approach isn't new for Manchester United, as Louis Van, Tin Haag's compatriot, once applied a set of rules and harsh punishment for late players, even for a few seconds.

Tin Haag's discipline policy is yet to prove its efficiency, however; the team performance in the pre-season indicates that things are going well.

Norway's Erling Haaland led his new team Manchester City to a friendly win over Bayern Munich 1-0 in a match that saw many bizarre events.

The game was held at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin in front of more than 78,000 spectators.

First, the start of the game was delayed due to the hurricane that hit the city.

When the game started, Haaland needed only 12 minutes to score his first goal with his blue shirt.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker took advantage of Jacques Grealish's ground pass to put it in Manchester's net.

After a while, the hurricane hit again; the referee announced the suspension of the game. And the players went to the dressing rooms.

The game resumed after 53 minutes: each half of the game lasted for 40 minutes upon the consent of both teams.

When the game resumed, Haaland stood out and scored a goal that was canceled on the grounds of being offside.

Bayern missed more than one chance of scoring in the first half and was a real threat to the other team.

At the start of the second half, City coach Pep Guardiola put new striker Julian Alvarez instead of Haaland, who missed City's first friendly against Club America a few days ago.

The second half passed with no goals because of the many changes on both sides.

Bayern's new striker Sadio Mane missed the match because he attended Africa's Best Awards a few days ago.

top African player award 2022

Another traditional battle between the former Liverpool stars, Salah and Mane, will happen in Rabat on Thursday when the annual African award winners are announced.

The final list of candidates for the award, announced by the African Football Confederation (CAF) on Wednesday morning, included Salah and Mane, along with Chelsea goalkeeper and Senegalese national team Edouard Mendy.

Mane had a crucial role in leading Senegal in beating Salah's Egyptian team in the final of the African cup of nations 2021 and the qualifying round for the World Cup finals scheduled in Qatar at the end of this year, as well.

The two games were in Cameron and Senegal, where the Teranga Lions won both games. With Mane scoring his two kicks, he enabled his country to win the cup before Salah got his turn in the shooting. Salah also lost his spot-kick in the decisive qualifying round for the Qatar World Cup.

African player award 2022

Senegal's victories this year have made Mane more likely to win the award of best player, which he won once in 2019.

If Mane won the award, he will become the first Bayern Munich star to be chosen as the best African footballer.

He was the closest player to german champion Samuel Kufuor in 1999 and 2001 when he finished second.

Mane moved to Bayern last month on a three-year deal from Liverpool, where he joined it in 2016 from Southampton, and he was described by German coach Jürgen Klopp as a " world-class" striker."

"My only criticism of Sadio is that he may sometimes be the only person who doesn't realize how good he is," Klopp said.

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson praised Mane and said: "Whenever he's in front of you in the goal area, you never think he'll miss the chance."

Salah won the award in 2017 and 2018: before Mane raised, in the following year, the number of winners from Liverpool of this award to four after Senegalese Hajji Diouf won the prize in 2002.

a Special season for Salah

Salah was awarded the English Premier League Player of the Year award by the Professional Footballers' Association and the Football Writers' Association.

Lewandowski describes his transfer to Barcelona as the hardest decision in his life FBARENA

After disputes with Bayern Munich, the transfer of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona has become just a matter of time till the Spanish club concludes the administrative procedures with Bayern Munich; which gives the player the chance to open up and speak freely about what happened with him during this summer.

After the announcement made by the Bavarian club that they reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona, the Polish player, who is turning 34 next month, said to the German newspaper Bild: "It was the hardest decision of my life. There was no time for a proper farewell..." He added: "Thank you guys very much. It's all going to end today. We have written history together, and I will never forget it!."

Lewandowski's transfer to Barcelona wasn't smooth as Bayern Munich was insisting on keeping the player until the end of his contract next summer, but with the player's insistence not to stay more time in Bavaria: Bayern Munich eventually had no choice but to let him go.

"The last few weeks have been difficult," said the former Borussia Dortmund striker, who leaves Bayern after scoring 344 goals in 375 games in all competitions.  "It is not easy for me to find the right words to describe the tension." "There's a lot going on in my head right now."  "Recently, I've been trying to stay relaxed and enjoy the holiday with my family."

When he was questioned about his desire to transfer to Barcelona, he said:

“I wanted to play in a league other than the Bundesliga, I had made that decision a long time ago,” Lewandowski said. “But I have to emphasize that it was the most difficult decision of my life.”.

"My daughter is going to start school next year, so we had to make a decision."

“If not now, it would probably never have been possible,” he said. “It was a unique opportunity.”

"But there was good chemistry immediately. He told me, "I'll wait for you."

“Xavi told me that we would work well together and we could achieve a lot. He has a clear plan on how to bring Barcelona back to the top"

"Barcelona had problems last season. But the club has incredible potential and has made good transfers now. I think the club is on the right track - back to the top. My goal is very clear to get up there with Barça and win trophies."

Despite the problems and tension that arose with his transfer, Lewandowski is satisfied with the final result. He said: "As I said, both sides did things that were unnecessary. But maybe certain things had to happen for the move to be possible in the end. I think both sides are happy now. Bayern got a lot of money (45 million euros plus 5 million as bonuses), and I can go to Barcelona." "It's been a long, difficult road, but I think that in the end, we can all look each other in the eye."
